$25,000 IN BURSARIES TO STIMULATE BUSINESS CREATION AMONG FIRST NATIONS
Wendake, January 18, 2021 - The First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Economic Development Commission (FNQLEDC) is proud to announce today the start of the application period for the Nikanewin Bursaries. These bursaries will be awarded to First Nations people with a business project in order to encourage them to take action and stimulate the creation of new enterprises.

National Aboriginal Day is a day recognizing and celebrating the cultures and contributions of the First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples of Canada. The day was first celebrated in 1996, after it was proclaimed that year by then Governor General of Canada Roméo LeBlanc, to be celebrated on 21 June annually.
