Bachelors Of Arts - Community Studies
Gesgapegiag Education Services, in collaboration with Cape
Breton University (CBU), is proposing to offer an in-community
Bachelor of Arts Community Studies (BACS) program.
Program delivery will begin in April 2021 and end in
December 2023. Students can choose to complete a
minimum of 60 credit hours of Arts courses for admission to
the 2023-2026 Mi'kmaq Maliseet Bachelor of Social Work
(MMBSW) program or continue to earn an additional 30 credit
hours towards a Bachelor of Arts Community Studies.

National Aboriginal Day is a day recognizing and celebrating the cultures and contributions of the First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples of Canada. The day was first celebrated in 1996, after it was proclaimed that year by then Governor General of Canada Roméo LeBlanc, to be celebrated on 21 June annually.
