Government of Canada has announced a one-time payment of up to $600 for persons with disabilities

The Government of Canada has announced a one-time payment of up to $600 for persons with disabilities to assist with additional expenses during the pandemic. The Government will provide the payment automatically to some individuals. If individuals do not have a Disability Tax Credit certificate, or if their certificate expired in 2019, they should send an application to the Canada Revenue Agency. The application must be received by the CRA by September 25, 2020. The attached factsheet explains who may be entitled to receive the one-time payment and how to apply for the Disability Tax Credit.
