The Department of Public Works, Infrastructure, and Housing completes regular maintenance and testing on all community wells. Following a recent maintenance check, it was discovered that the water levels in the wells are quite low. This is due to the dry summer season and it is affecting our neighboring towns as well so it is not a major concern.
It is recommended by the Department of Public Works, Infrastructure, and Housing that the water usage for all community members should be decreased when possible. Some examples to help with this matter may include: shorter showers, not running water too long, maybe use washer and dishwashers. An update will be sent out to the community in November when more results from the testing are made available. We appreciate your understanding and collaboration with this.
