Surveyors and Translator needed for Phase 2 (consultation phase) of Estuary File

The Micmacs of Gesgapegiag are currently looking for 4 members of the community to help with Phase 2 (consultation phase) in regards to the Estuary File and 1 member fluent in Mi’gmaq to assist in a focus group consultation with Elders. If you are interested in being a surveyor for the door to door surveys on the weekend of April 27th-29th or a translator for the Elders focus group please submit your name and phone number by: calling the administration building at 418-759-3441 and ask to be added to the list of surveyors or by emailing info@gesgapegiag.ca with the email subject “Door-to-door surveyors”. You may also inbox the Micmacs of Gesgapegiag Facebook page with your name and phone number.

An honorarium of $100 will be given to each surveyor as well as the translator. The selected surveyors must be respectful, non-bias, and not provide an opinion to have any influence on the community member doing the survey. This is only one portion of Phase 2 (consultation phase). There will be a notice sent to community members soon regarding the upcoming focus group consultation sessions and engagement plans for community members living outside the community.

Deadline to submit your name is April 20th, 2018 at noon.
